The pinnacles of Spider Rock stand with dignity and splendor in Arizona’s Canyon de Chelly National Park. This sandstone spire is a place of enormous importance to the Native American inhabitants of the area. It is said to be the home of Spider Woman, or Na'ashjé'íí Asdzáá, the deity who taught mankind the art of weaving. This pattern pays tribute to skilled weavers producing works of woven art for many centuries.
